this piece came about when installing the 'raised beach' sculpture at Mostyn, on one side of this piece was foam, the other had an artificial oak laminate. The floor in the gallery seemed to be oak. After searching the space I found a near perfect match up for the new work.
People seemed, in a strange way to gravitate towards the piece on the opening night, without really seeing it.
