'leaves'

a leaf painted by a road roller... collected in battersea where I had been photographing and drawing the slip down to the thames, where the tide meets the double yellow lines and order and randomness wash over  the same space...
the double yellows had recently been painted, there was this and one other leaf clogged in thick yellow paint.

this place is amazing, where the organised nature of london disapears and the real nature of it being a tidal river shows itself, somewhere real and raw, with silt and rubbish pushing itself up and up. A cove or wash in. a home away from home.
